Best AI for Meta Ads Copywriting: Pick the Tool That Reads Your Data, Not a Blank Brief
A blank prompt repeats your competitors. At ₹10 lakh or more a month, feed a general model your winning ads and reviews, then prove which angle clears break-even.
- Which writer fits this spend
- Why angles beat paraphrases
- The brief, the languages and the test
- Text switches that rewrite your claims
For most accounts at this spend, the strongest writer is ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, loaded with your best ads and customer language. Pair it with Advantage+ text generation, which third-party guides quoting the help centre limit to English, Portuguese or Spanish primary text. Read every line before it spends. Buying and reporting tools are in the full comparison.
What each option reads
Dedicated products add templates, stored voice and workflow. Those extras help agencies more than a single in-house brand. The real difference is the evidence the model sees.
| Option | Sees your account? | Languages | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advantage+ text generation | Partly, from your text and past campaigns | English, Portuguese or Spanish primary text, per third-party quotes of the help centre | Variations inside Ads Manager, no extra fee |
| ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini | Only what you paste or connect | Broad, including Hindi, Hinglish and Arabic; check quality | Teams who can write a repeatable brief |
| Jasper | Stored voice and assets | 27 languages via Translation Agent | Multi-market voice control |
| Anyword | Its own score | Varies by plan | A score before launch |
| Copy.ai | Workflows you set | Varies by plan | Repeatable processes |
Entry plans are a small slice of a ₹10 lakh media budget. Anyword lists a seven-day trial capped at 2,500 words. A 2 October 2026 roundup said Copy.ai had no free plan; that was not confirmed on Copy.ai. Add GST, VAT or sales tax where you are billed. The same roundup says Writesonic has shifted toward AI search visibility and shows no ad-copy generator on its homepage. That was not confirmed on Writesonic. Judge the workflow, not a model badge such as GPT-4 or Claude 3.5.
Angles, not fifty rewrites
Practitioner data suggests Andromeda-era delivery treats near-duplicate copy as one ad. Meta has not described that mechanism. Its engineering note of 2 December 2024 said Andromeda was already rolling out, with no dated global schedule. Industry reports say the old six-ad suggestion was dropped; Meta has not confirmed that. AdScale’s read of more than 1,200 ecommerce accounts found ad sets peaking at four to six creatives, with slightly different lines on the same visual collapsing together.
Four images, three videos, five headlines and five body texts can yield up to 175 combinations. If every body text says “premium quality, fast delivery,” you still have one message. An angle is a different reason to buy: a problem, a proof point, a price, an occasion or an identity. Aim for four to six angles and two or three versions of each. When a winner slips, the angle is often tired. Signs are in the fatigue guide.
Brief it with evidence
- Paste the top five ads from 90 days, ranked by cost per purchase, primary text and headline.
- Paste 20 to 30 real phrases from reviews, comments and support. Keep Hinglish or Arabic as written.
- Add five to ten Ad Library competitors, and name angles that must not be copied.
- List price, offer, delivery, cash on delivery, returns and approved claims. Forbid invented claims.
- Name the angle and placement. Keep the hook inside 125 characters and the headline under 27. No unprovable superlatives.
- Ask for three versions of each angle, plus who each version is for.
Save the brief so tests stay comparable. Secondary sources say generation runs only for English, Portuguese or Spanish primary text (feature breakdown). Hindi, Hinglish, Arabic, Bahasa, Thai and Vietnamese need a native read. In India, the Gulf and parts of South-East Asia, refused cash-on-delivery parcels charge shipping twice. A UPI discount can cut that. Say prices include GST or VAT when they do. Avoid “all-inclusive” in the US, where sales tax lands at checkout. Preview Arabic mixed with English prices on a phone. Brief Diwali, Ramadan, Black Friday and 11.11 angles three to four weeks early. Third-party charts say mobile feeds show about 125 characters before “See more,” headlines allow 40 but about 27 show, and Reels shows about 72 characters plus a 10-character headline. Sources disagree. Confirm in Ads Manager.
Which line actually made money
Meta reports text generation per ad, not per line, so you never learn which sentence sold. Run one angle per ad, same visual and budget, generation off, and judge break-even cost per purchase.
A skincare brand spends ₹30 lakh a month, about ₹1,00,000 a day. Average order value is ₹2,500 including 18% GST. Product is ₹700, shipping ₹150, and ₹270 is set aside for returns and return-to-origin. Break-even is ₹2,500 − ₹381 − ₹700 − ₹150 − ₹270 = ₹999, call it ₹1,000. Meta counts the full ₹2,500, so a 2.5x return is break-even, not profit. At ₹25,000 a day, each of four angles spends ₹1,75,000 over seven days. Angle A, “replaces three products,” gets 220 purchases at ₹795. Angle B, a dermatologist-style routine, gets 140 at ₹1,250. C and D land near ₹1,000. Scale A, cut B, and ask for two new angles in A’s direction plus fresh visuals. Scale when cost sits at least 15% under break-even after seven days and 50 or more purchases. Cut when it sits above. Anything between gets three or four more days, not another paraphrase.
Meta may change your text. Generation, Text Improvements, Enhance Media Text, Show Summaries and translations carry an AI label, and some start on (Advantage+ creative summary). Brand voice from past campaigns, described in Meta’s announcement, is not legal approval. In health, finance and regulated beauty, turn off Text Improvements and Show Summaries. Luxury should test generation in a separate campaign. How these sit in the campaign is in the Advantage+ guide. A predictive score only shortlists. Copy that wins on platform return can still lose after tax and returns (return versus profit).

Frequently asked questions
Is ChatGPT enough for Meta ad copy?
It is, when the prompt includes your winning ads, real review language and claims you are allowed to make. A blank request produces lines that match competitors. Check character limits, claims and language before anything goes live.
Does Advantage+ text generation support Hindi or Arabic?
Secondary write-ups of Meta’s help centre say generation runs when the primary text you enter is English, Portuguese or Spanish. For Hindi, Hinglish, Arabic and other languages, use a general model or a multilingual product and have a native speaker read it.
How many copy variants belong in one ad set?
Count reasons to buy, not rewrites. Since Andromeda, practitioner reads suggest near-duplicate lines are grouped, so four to six genuinely different angles usually teach more than dozens of paraphrases. Keep two or three versions of each angle.
Should Text Improvements stay on?
Turn off Text Improvements and Show Summaries in health, finance and claims-heavy beauty, because Meta may alter the line at delivery. Lower-risk categories can leave them on if someone reviews the ads that actually served.
